Protection & Complaint Handling Policies
Why We Take This Seriously
At Moorabbin Cricket Club, the safety and well-being of our members—especially children and young people—are our top priorities. In line with Cricket Victoria’s updated Member Protection and Complaint Handling Policies for the 2024/25 season, we are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone involved in our club.
These changes are crucial because they:
- Protect Vulnerable Members: Our focus on safeguarding children and preventing serious misconduct aligns with our club’s core values. By adhering to these policies, we ensure that all participants—whether players, families, or volunteers—are treated with respect and fairness.
- Enhance Accountability: The updated policies provide clear pathways for resolving disputes and handling complaints, including serious allegations related to child protection. This fosters a transparent process where all voices are heard and addressed.
- Meet Legal and Ethical Standards: Cricket Australia’s Child Safeguarding Framework and Member Protection Policy ensure we are compliant with the highest standards of legal and ethical conduct. By publicly endorsing these policies, we show our dedication to upholding the best practices in child safety, fairness, and integrity.
